Frequently asked questions

How much extra laminate should I buy?

10% for a normal room laid straight, 5% for a simple rectangle with few cuts, and 15% for herringbone or diagonal patterns. Keep a spare pack for repairs.

How many m² in a pack of laminate?

It varies with the board size, usually 1.5–2.5m² per pack. 2.22m² is common for 8mm boards. The coverage is printed on the box.

Yes, unless the boards have underlay attached. On a concrete floor, use underlay with a damp-proof layer or lay a DPM first.
